Sally Seltmann (aka New Buffalo) was chosen as “Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year” in her native Australia at the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) awards this week. Sally co-wrote the hit 1234 from Feist’s latest record, The Reminder, as well as releasing her own stunning album, Somwhere, anywhere (Arts & Crafts Records), which is available now in HANK™ for your next project. June 20, 2008Perez Hilton Loves New Buffalo
February 12, 2008
It seems that “Hollywoods Most Hated Website” is showing the love for Australian songbird and Hank Artist, New Buffalo. The singer, whose real name is Sally Seltmann, was recently endorsed by everyone’s favorite gossip blogger, Britney-hater and, apparently now, indie starmaker Perez Hilton on his website.
Perez took a brief pause from dogging the Olsen Twins and outing various celebrities to discover New Buffalo, of whom he says “makes sweet, delicate yet powerful tunes that connect with a truth that’s universal.” You can find this and other “universal truths” (like Bobby Brown loves alcohol and Larry Birkhead is gay) on Perez’s website.
We’re sure you’ll love her, too–we know Feist does, as Sally Seltmann aka New Buffalo wrote her hit song “1234.” To hear more music from New Buffalo (Arts & Crafts Records), go to Hank.
